The production of the popular mid-engined Toyota MR2 (MR-S ) came to an end in 2005 ( 2007 in Japan ) and now Toyota have partnered up with Gazoo to recreate this hot little sports car.

The original 1.8 litre engine has been replaced with a 3.3 litre V6 and up front is an electric motor driving the front axle making this car a four wheel drive hybrid.

Toyota claims this MR2 Sports Hybrid Concept can hit 60 mph ( 100 km/h ) in 4.5 seconds and the 2 motors combined gives this concept car 400 hp.

Unfortunately rumours are saying that Toyota will not be putting this car into production.
